About Us
Marsden Makos
The Marsden State High School Rugby League Excellence program is focussed on providing every young man and woman with the opportunity to grow both on and off the field. The Rugby League program has a clear goal around developing young people who can make a positive impact on society.
On a Rugby League front, the results from 2017 have placed us into a category that means we now ranked in the top four schools within Australia. This is a result of our grand final appearance in the Queensland Schoolboy competition and reinforced by the fact that we compete in the premier Broncos Cup competition across Years 7-12.
The strength of the program across the entire school, provides our students with the opportunity to match the professional training environment, with a high standard of games that they will compete in on a weekly basis. It is important to note that our program incorporates Rugby League into a student’s weekly timetable through a combination of both practical and theory session
