Since day one, the overall success of our Marsden State High School (MSHS) ‘Rugby League Excellence Program’ has been due, in part, to the very generous support of our Sponsors — local businesses, business men and women whom have teamed up with our School to deliver a sporting excellence program we can all be proud of.
Essentially, the products of these partnerships (i.e. our students) can be seen on rugby league sporting fields across the globe — locally on our home ground at Waterford — where our year level teams take on other elite rugby league schools in weekly competition; in capital cities such as Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane — where Marsden graduates battle it out in State Cup, NRL or ARL competition, and internationally — where a number of graduates go head-to-head in Europe with Super League’s finest.
Of course, the result of our close partnership with the Logan business community extends further than the rugby league field itself. It is evident in the students who graduate from our Sports Excellence Program, our school, into the work force or tertiary education; in the young men who take with them our Program’s core values of ‘Pride, Passion and Persistence’ into university or TAFE study, an apprenticeship or trainee-ship; young men whom are renowned, also, for kicking on and taking up volunteer roles within their local rugby league club as coaches, trainers, managers or committee members.
To deliver such a successful program, though, one which continues to develop students into the best rugby league players and young men they can be, requires money. It requires money to pay for jerseys, shorts, socks, buses, training equipment, competition entrance fees, referees, use of ovals, first aid and so much more.
Such a program cannot be financed through player levies alone; fees which are kept to a minimum to reduce the financial stress on families. It requires investment from our local community to top up the rest.
In return for teaming up with our Program, apart from knowing you are contributing to a School which has produced the likes of Australia, Queensland and Melbourne Storm captain Cameron Smith, Dual International Israel Folau, Dally M halfback of the year Chris Sandow and so many more, we offer you a plethora of sponsorship benefits.
