The Marsden Makos came together today for the annual Tonie Carroll Cup. In an outstanding day for the community, a sea of black, white and maroon joined forces to cheer home the boys and girls. The support that extended to one another was very special to witness. A proud day for any Marsden Mako!

This community spirit was matched by the Rugby League on display across all our teams. In the advanced division, we defended our title with an undefeated run that saw us claim victories over Keebra Park SHS, Mable Park SHS, Coombabah SHS, Palm Beach Currumbin SHS and Alex Hills SHS. The team worked hard for one another and have set a great foundation for the year ahead.

The other two teams who also competed were also great across all the games and have set a very high bar for this group of fine young students.

A big thank you extends to Mr Stains, Mr Askew and Mr Gloede, who coached the boys today. I would also like to thank our trainers and first aid who were very professional for all our games!

Stay tuned for an update on our fantastic girls who competed today!

To say I am excited about 2019, would be a massive understatement! Up up the MAKOS!
