Under cloudy skies, our girls rugby league program headed to Kurrawa Beach for our annual beach training and bonding day. With rotations on the day focussing on fitness, ball skills, game sense, sprint technique and team bonding, the girls had a busy day ahead.

The girls’ first challenge commenced as soon as they exited the buses, with the senior group taking the lead in organising tents, waterbottles and sunscreen for the group, and the teamwork
did not let up from then on. T

o put it bluntly, the girls were sensational on the day, and applied themselves wholeheartedly to all tasks. With members of the public enquiring about our girls, and complimenting our girls for their attitude and dedication throughout the day, the girls were sensational representatives of themselves, their families and our program.

A massive thank you to Jennifer, for the amazing photography on the day. Also a huge thank you to 2018 Captain Rosemary, who came along for the day modelling the effort that it takes to get to the top, and demonstrating great support to our younger girls.

Coaches Stains, Hartigan, Carapeto, Hamilton, Anderson and myself would like to thank the girls for their efforts and we are looking forward to some sensational performances on and off the field throughout 2019!
