*COMING UP* Yr 7 League Comp

April 4, 2018

The next HOT challenge for our Year 7 Marsden Mako Pups is on the horizon with the inaugural Padua College Gala Day locked in for Thursday, April 26, 2018.

Fresh from our school’s nail-biting 10-6 win in the Tonie Carroll Cup over a gallant Alex Hills SHS and a narrow victory over a skillful Palm Beach Currumbin SHS side in March, our ‘Mako Pups’ will no doubt be keen to continue their unbeaten run in 2018.

padua-logoIn Week 2, Term 2, games involving south east Queensland’s elite rugby league high schools including Alex Hills, St. Mary’s, Redcliffe, Ipswich, Wavell and others will kick-off on the picturesque Padua College fields in Banyo (See pictured right), a suburb in northern Brizzie.

dmwmLike the TC Cup in Beenleigh, the Padua Gala Day’s format caters for both ‘Advanced’ and ‘Developing’ school league programs with 2 pools of teams in action on the day.

Just as we did in the TC Cup, Marsden has entered a 2nd team to compete against the likes of Mabel Park SHS, Caloundra SHS, Padua College and others in Pool B with Mr Gleode’s talented Makos ‘B’ side again hoping to impress.

Mako Teams will be announced at the Year 7 Squad’s training session on Friday, April 20.

Sports Medicine will be available on the day and a canteen will be open for refreshments.

Please see further details of the competition, including the DRAFT Draw and Competition Rules below…
