Attention Marsden’s Year 7 RL Fanatics…
Washed out back in early February due to torrential rain and field flooding on Beenleigh’s Bill Norris Oval, the 2018 Tonie Carroll Cup for Year 7 rugby league boys across South East Queensland, including our very own Marsden State High School boys, has been locked in to kick off on Saturday, March 17.
This promises to be a tough hit out for our Year 7 Mako Pups indeed as they battle the hottest teams in SEQ; also to follow in the footsteps of past Pups who’ve featured in the previous two grand finals, taking out last year’s competition with a mighty win over Keebra Park SHS in front of a packed out M.S.H.S. parents crowd.
This coming Saturday, players in the ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams are required to be at the venue no later than 8:15am to meet with their respective Coaches, wearing their full sports excellence uniform, with a drink bottle, boots and mouth-guard and lunch.
A canteen will also be available for players, parents and staff however players are reminded to only consume food in their allocated breaks rather than before games, and, only to choose meals that are appropriate for upcoming competition.
